New insights from Altrata’s World Ultra Wealth Report 2024 reveal that the global ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) population has surged by 20% over the past five years!
Here’s the scoop:
– Growth Spurt: The number of individuals with a net worth of $30 million or more hit 426,000 in 2023, marking a 7.6% increase. Their combined wealth now stands at a staggering $49 trillion—more than the GDP of the U.S. and China combined!
– Regional Trends: The U.S. leads with a 13% increase in UHNW individuals, while Europe and Asia also saw growth.
– Looking Ahead: Altrata projects a continued rise, with UHNW individuals expected to reach 587,650 by 2028.
– Impact & Influence: The ultra-wealthy are making waves with $190 billion in philanthropic contributions and $118 billion spent on luxury goods in 2023. They control $38 trillion in investable assets.
